Bring Back The CD Booklet

Welcome back to Poll Of The Day — today’s question might change the way every new release sounds.

TODAY’S POLL

LAST POLL RESULTS

47% of you voted Good in Friday’s poll: How would you describe your posture?

“Pretty good when I’m fresh, but definitely worse when I’m tired.”

“Good, except when I’m tired and worn down. Then I have a tendency to slouch and cave in.”

“Good posture is very important. It’s healthier and helps you walk properly. On a more superficial level, it’s important to have good posture to make a good impression. Someone slouched over doesn’t project the same type of charisma as someone walking erect with purpose.”

“I have always tried to have great posture. Small in stature, I need to be as upright as I can.”

“I stand up directly most of the time.”

“More comfortable.”

“I try to do exercises that benefit posture and keep me upright.”

“I walk 4 miles a day with my dog, and at night I swim a 1/2 mile or greater. I find these two exercises keep my posture proper, but if I skip them, I can feel it in my shoulder slump.”

“Thanks to my qigong trainer, my posture at 76 is better than ever!”

“It used to be excellent, but as my abs turned to flab, less so — unless I consciously try.”

“I always have to remind myself to straighten up, shoulders back.”

“NEVER BEEN GOOD BECAUSE OF MY PROFESSION.”

“I’d say fair due to my extreme arthritis in my lower back. It was never perfect, but now, being in pain all the time, I rarely can walk straight up. Pretty sad for someone who isn’t quite 60 yet. But I’m paying the price. I played hard as a child and young adult (I was an athlete from 5 years old through my mid-20s), and now it has caught up to me.”

“I’m shuffling like an old person. Uh-oh, I am an old person.”

“Arthritis is eating away at my spine, both at the top and bottom. I also have curvature/scoliosis (an S-shape), and it’s painful.”

“I discovered I had scoliosis at age 7 and have always exercised and swam to strengthen my back, help prevent it from worsening, and improve my posture. Now, at age 73, I’m considering a specialized brace.”

“After 4 compression fractures and losing 3.5 inches in height, it’s hard to maintain good posture. But I do make the effort.”

“I have HORRIBLE posture. I was always the ‘tall’ girl in school and, on top of that, extremely introverted. To minimize myself, I would slouch when seated or walk with my head down. Now that I’m older, I still do the exact same thing because it’s comfortable and a habit. I see myself in videos and pictures, and I look so bad. My posture makes me look 20 years older than I really am. Unfortunately, my even-taller-than-me daughter has the exact same posture.”
