Corporate Speak Has Entered The Chat
Welcome back to Poll Of The Day — today’s question leans into office vernacular.

TODAY’S POLL
How do you feel about corporate jargon in workplace communication? |
LAST POLL RESULTS
64.3% of you voted 🌡️ Comfortably warm in Friday’s poll: What’s your ideal shower temperature?
“I love a warm shower, but for the sake of my skin’s health, I almost always end with cold water… for the most part.”
“I love to rinse off with cold water at the end of my shower. Open up the pores.”
“With my eczema, they say to keep your showers lukewarm, but I like a little warmth to my water.”
“Warm but best to switch to lukewarm (or as cool as you can tolerate) at the end to rinse your hair.”
“It depends on what I need! If I’m trying to wake up, I’ll start with a cool shower before it has a chance to heat up. I also dye my hair, so I usually rinse with cool water. Most of the time, I start warm, switch to cool for my hair, then finish warm again.”
“I always start out warm, then before I finish I cool it down a bit — for washing out conditioner or, on a hot day, just to stand in for a moment and let the cool water wash over me to help stimulate the nervous system and circulation.”
“Obviously, summer temperatures and/or overexertion can bring on the desire for a nice, cool, refreshing shower!”
“There is nothing more therapeutic than a nice, warm shower.”
“Warm, but not scalding. I have a serious vendetta with cold water, lol!”
“I like to feel cozy and not be rushed by depleted warmth.”
“I’M SHOWERING, NOT BOILING.”
“My morning showers are my coffee. I stay in for as long as the hot water stays hot.”
“Hot as the first notch above warm. 😄”
“Hot and steamy!!”
“The hottest water removes the deepest dirt — externally and internally.”
“I live in a hot climate and keep the air conditioner off most of the time, and I enjoy showers at about the same temperature I swim in — around 80 degrees. When I’m in colder climates, I prefer hotter showers and the jacuzzi.”
“Not too hot, not too cold — just right.”
“More on the cold side.”
“Outside of very hot or very cold, water pressure matters more to me than temperature.”
“I only take baths unless I have to go somewhere else to shower because I’ve lost my water for some reason (I live in a very rural area and have a well).”
