Some People Wear Clothes. Others Curate Eras.
Welcome back to Poll Of The Day — today’s question is for anyone who’s ever been accused of doing too much... sartorially speaking.

TODAY’S POLL
How would you describe your everyday style? |
LAST POLL RESULTS
61.7% of you voted Like them if the group is right in yesterday’s poll: How do you usually feel about group trips?
“We love Smithsonian and National Geographic trips.”
“For international travel, I like a group. At home, I’d rather keep it small.”
“I haven’t taken a group trip in a very long time. But if I considered it, it would certainly depend on the people in the group. It can be fun, but it’s not necessarily true that the more, the merrier. Sometimes, as I have experienced in my younger days, there can be personality clashes — and that doesn’t make for a fun time.”
“Nothing’s worse than traveling with entitled individuals who think the world revolves around them.”
“The last trip we took with a group was great. Before that, it was a pure disaster.”
“We have cousins we love to travel with — kids included. And we have some we would never travel with!”
“I have to have something in common with the group!”
“USED TO DO GOLF TRIPS WITH 12-16 GUYS, AND WE ALWAYS HAD A BLAST.”
“I’m retired and sometimes can’t find friends to travel with, so I often go solo on group trips. I’ve always had a great time. Group trips create a sense of camaraderie because we’re all there for enjoyment and quite often education. Daring to be brave!”
“I haven’t been on many group trips, but I do like them if the group works well together. I solo trip more often.”
“While I prefer solo travel — and 95% of my travel is solo — I do have a small group of trusted friends I travel with a few times a year. It all depends on the group dynamic.”
“I love going on group trips with my family and extended family. I have learned a lot about my family on these trips.”
“Took 2 of my kids and 2 of their cousins a couple months ago.”
“It’s fun to travel with your spouse and meet a group of people on a trip. Close family trips are always special. However, when it comes to traveling with a larger group, I’d prefer to pass. Too many people make things complicated. Everyone has their own preferences and opinions, and it can become more stressful than fun.”
“Too much drama.”
“I like the idea of group trips, but as the most active traveler in our group, the planning usually falls on my shoulders — and that’s exhausting.”
“It’s extremely difficult to gather a group that can harmoniously agree on an itinerary — unless you’re talking about paid guided tours, where the itineraries are set as-is.”
“A big group is too hard to manage. Everyone wants different things from the experience. A small family group is fine. I love traveling with my husband and kids. A solo trip is nice for total relaxation and self-care.”
“Solo — but having said that, I had the best time on an all-girls surf trip where the ages ranged from 23 to 70.”
“My wife and I prefer traveling solo, so we can make independent decisions about where to go and how long to stay. I always do a lot of research before any trip, so we have some ideas at the outset. Having said that, we’ll be going on a European river cruise in July. It’ll be interesting traveling with about 200 others onboard.”
“I like being in control of where I am going. Traveling with others means you have to have some give and take about activities. Traveling alone or with one companion means there are no concessions. As a kid, I went on a month-long road trip from coastal California to almost the East Coast in a group of 13. We were promised we’d see the Atlantic Ocean and have a day at the beach. Adult arguments ensued. The beach trip was taken out of the plan, and so was the trip to Colonial Williamsburg. I’m now 65 and still haven’t seen either. No groups for me.”
