The Gold Statues Found Their Homes

Welcome back to Poll Of The Day — time to reveal whether Hollywood’s biggest night made it onto your screen.

TODAY’S POLL

LAST POLL RESULTS

34% of you voted Short and Medium (respectively) in Friday’s poll: What’s your current hair length?

“I just got my hair cut a few days ago. I like to get it cut short and wait about 5 weeks in between.”

“Short. Get it cut every 2 months.”

“SO EASY TO MAINTAIN.”

“I went to the salon 5 months ago, and my stylist had called out. I agreed to another, and our conversation included that she mainly cut men’s hair. Short version — I walked out with a fade and ‘some’ hair on top. A man’s cut!!! I’ll be ready for a trim in another month but… I liked the short-hair lifestyle too much. 🤔”

“Short now but soon to be mohawked-buzzed.”

“Once I was doing surgery regularly, I cut my hair short to be more comfortable under the lights in full surgery garb.”

“Got old, cut my hair. :(”

“I was never very good at styling my hair. Now that I’m 70, I cut it short three years ago, and it looks better than it ever has.”

“I have always had thin, super-fine, straight hair. As I have aged, it has thinned even more. If it is long, my ears show.”

“I like a nice, clean look. Not too short. It looks better with a little bit of length now that my hair is getting more sparse.”

“I prefer to wear my hair short, just covering my neck. I don’t like long hair, and I am a lady and a grandma, but I have worn my hair short all my life.”

“It’s quickly heading toward medium, however.”

“I’m trying to grow it out, but I still have to trim back the split ends to keep it healthy.”

“Growing out a pixie.”

“Rockin’ a bob!”

“Chin-length bob is actually medium for me, but I said short because it tends to be short for everyone else.”

“Medium now. When I was a teenager and in my early college years, it was shoulder-length.”

“I cut it short in the winter and long in the summer… PONYTAIL!”

“Not too long. Not too short.”

“Hard to quantify, but it’s shoulder to slightly longer length.”

“Longer than usual. I was going to wait until January, then I got a terrible cough. It turned out to be much more than a cough (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma). I won’t be needing a haircut for quite a while. :(”

“I’m a woman who keeps it a little longer than shoulder length. I only have to cut it 2–3x a year, and I can style it in 5–10 minutes with my Revlon blow-dryer brush (my most cherished possession).”

“I let it grow for a couple of years, then cut and donate it to Wigs for Kids — and grow it again.”

“I’ve always loved having long hair. I used to have very long hair down to my butt when I was much younger and donated a foot of it to Locks of Love when I was 12.”

“To my waist.”

“I have never had a short haircut in my life! I’m 64, and it’s more than halfway to my waist. My husband’s is waist-length. 😊”

“There is a common misconception that women over the age of 50 should not have long hair. I say, F that! I love my long hair, but I’ll also admit that having a daughter who is a beautician is very helpful with the upkeep.”

“Currently long, but I’m not precious about my hair and alternate between short and long.”

“It’s probably close to the middle of my back now, and I need something low maintenance. Who knows? I may just do something insane myself. Many stylists get nervous when I tell them shorter. They always want to cut just a few inches for me to see if that is enough. I want it gone, lol!”

“Started losing my hair in my late teens/early 20s. I embraced the shaved head/goatee look in my early 30s and never looked back. My wife says I just have more face to kiss.”

“Bald = ageless. :-)”

“Call me Mr. Clean.”
