“I had my feet measured once as an adult, which I’m honestly grateful I did. A very helpful and informative Macy’s employee assisted me long ago. Everyone should have the chance to get this free service, especially if the employee can show genuine dignity, flexibility, and respect.”

“I had it done a couple of years ago and also when I was a child. When I see the device in a store, I’ll use it to make sure of the size and width.”

Do shoe stores even have those large metal devices anymore that you’d step on and slide the different gadgets to get your exact shoe size? 🤷‍♀️ It’s been all trying on shoes or guessing games since the late ’70s, as far as I remember, lol!”

“Having your feet measured was standard procedure for years. I used to like stepping into the measuring device. It felt cool when you stepped on it, and they moved the measuring piece against your foot. Now it’s less common.”

“As a kid, our mom took us to a shoe store to find out what size we wore, so she could shop for our school clothes.”

“Every time when I was a kid and my mom took us shoe shopping. I think the last time was back in 2011, when I went to get some decent walking shoes for a winter break trip to Italy.”

“Did it at a hiking store once. Technically, I’m a full size smaller than I typically wear, but my feet are wide.”
