“I don’t use any apps for communication — only text or call.”

“I only use Messenger and Messages, and I communicate with different people on each.”

“I have a hard enough time using one app at a time! I do converse over several different apps, but only one at a time.”

“I suppose I can see myself talking on the phone with someone and sending an email to discuss the content of the email. I mostly just talk on the phone. I’m not much of a multitasker.”

“If it’s a coworker who I’m also friends with, we end up talking via phone, text, Teams, and email. Most of the time, it’s all about the same thing. It’s very confusing.”

“Discretion is the typical reason that we use different platforms, especially with work colleagues who are also friends. Some things are not suitable for the company Teams chat.”

“I have a few platforms that I like to use. I have different people on different platforms, so I don’t get them into the wrong group — work vs. social.”

“Mostly it’s just one place, but some friends live overseas, so I use other apps on occasion.”

“Yes, between phone text and Messenger app. Sometimes we like to send videos to watch, and they’re often too large to send by text, so that’s when Messenger comes in handy. We’ve also had issues with texts when one of us is traveling, so again, Messenger works best. There are probably other reasons, but I can’t think of them at the moment, lol!”

“I can be on Facebook or Messenger and then switch to talking with someone directly, either through Messenger or text.”

“Text, Instagram, TikTok, voice notes — my friends and I do it all.”

“It kind of drives me crazy! Instagram for this, Snapchat for that…”

“My god, my best friend and I have chats going on across text, IG, Snap, FB, WhatsApp… and probably something else. Haha!”

“I also frequently have different conversation threads going concurrently on the same app.”
